President's Message

ISAS with all its chapters at various places in the country is determined to promote  and develop the growth of analytical sciences and its applications in different domains of sciences through modern means of communication.

It is a platform to provide a forum to exchange ideas to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of analytical sciences at global level.

Analytical sciences touch all the discipline of science and technology. An analytical scientist in association with information technology and computer software experts can bring in revolutionary changes in the process of analytical capabilities in the respective field of sciences.

Variation in analytical results has always been a challenge to an analytical scientist.

This will be an endeavor of the society to upgrade the technical skills of the analytical scientists through various educative means. Lack of information through an easy access is still a persistent problem although considerable development is being made. This can be achieved through networking and interaction of analytical scientists by various means in various domains.

With this, I am sure that ISAS with all its wings, shall constantly be making untiring efforts on the path of continuous progress to achieve its aims and objectives.

INDIAN SOCIETY OF ANALYTICAL SCIENTISTS (ISAS)

In an era of interdisciplinary harmonization, analytical sciences, particularly analytical chemistry has emerged to be among fore runner and virtually become a backbone of all branches of science and that of industries too.

Analysis is a continuing process right from raw material stage to final products. Analytical measurements and outcome of the measurements in the form of final results could be the basis on which economic, ecological, environmental, geological, biological, high-tech materials, medical, food and legal matters decisions are made which are essential in our day to day life and also in trade, production and development, in monitoring and protection of human and environmental health. This is related to QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM thereby directly related to analyst and analytical data. 

Modern analytical techniques play a vital role and form the lifeline in achieving technological excellence worldwide. With the rapid advancement of analytical instrumentation technologies, modern analytical techniques have formed an integral part of quality assurance along with research in industries, academic and research institutions.

Keeping in mind the above facts INDIAN SOCIETY OF ANALYTICAL SCIENTISTS (ISAS) was established and registered in 1983, a non-profit organization to disseminate scientific information concerned with all areas of Analytical Sciences.

It is the premier professional society of its kind in India with around 2000 life members from reputed organization like Defence, Space, CSIR, DAE labs, Public & Private sector undertaking, Universities and various industries.

ISAS is operating in all parts of India with 12 chapters at Delhi, Baroda, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Udaypur, Shillong, Omerga, Dharmabad, Nagpur, Cochin and Tirupati. Over the years ISAS has proved to be an effective interface between scientists and technologists on one hand and industrial researchers including instrumentation manufacturers on the other hand.

To date 25 National and International symposia have been organized on various topics of Analytical Sciences all over India and now ISAS is venturing to do it in other countries in near future.
